Clone Drones is the third book in R.C. Carter and J.P. Carter's detective mystery series, the O'Rourke Crime Novels. Ryan O'Rourke has a fairly busy, if routine, set of assignments for his crew. The lone operative who won't be working is his fiancee, Siobhan, who'll be spending the day with her sister, who's in town to help her pick out her wedding dress. Later on, Ryan's horrified to hear that Siobhan left a message for her sister, cancelling their shopping trip, and has now disappeared. Her vehicle is found sitting in her driveway with the door partly open. Siobhan's been kidnapped and her abductors want the recently arrested crime boss, Carterelli, released in exchange for her freedom - they have only 24 hours until Siobhan is killed.
R.C. Carter and J.P. Carter's detective mystery Clone Drones: O'Rourke Crime Novels, Book 3 is a fast-paced and enjoyable thriller that blends politics, high tech and organized crime. The authors are marvelous storytellers who weave the various parts of this story into a smooth and flowing narrative. Siobhan is the consummate example of grace under fire as she calmly and logically assesses her condition and works to free herself. Clone Drones also exposes the inherent risks of drone technology as an effective assassination tool. There's a lot going on in this story so readers must follow carefully lest they miss something. Clone Drones has a bit of something for anyone who enjoys high-octane thrillers with non-stop action and surprises, and it delivers. Clone Drones is recommended.
