Con Crazy by Addison J. Chapple with Danny Kravitz and Eliza Marsh is a brilliant action thriller with a thought-provoking touch of romance. Prewitt Patry is a divorced and poor con artist living in Manhattan. Prewitt’s partner-in-crime, Mace, lands a lead for Prewitt’s con artistry. Drinking at Mace’s pub, Ranger Courtemanche, an ancestor of a wealthy French family clan, tells Mace about his profitable sale at Sotheby’s. Desperately needing money to pay for his son’s study at Harvard but following his self-imposed code to swindle only swindlers, Prewitt travels to Paris to pull off a con on the Courtemanche clan, whose history of bad reputation spans centuries. Before long, Prewitt finds himself in the maze of unimaginable life-changing perils, revelations, discoveries, and surprises.
Con Crazy by Addison J. Chapple with Danny Kravitz and Eliza Marsh gripped me instantly with the suspenseful, fast-moving plot and second-to-none humor. Prewitt’s adventures had no dull moments as they played out in the atmospheric scenery of France, with jaw-dropping surprises awaiting me in every episode. The hilarious cons and pranks made me chuckle and turn pages. But what made this story special was the multitude of threads interlacing the adventure with thought-provoking dilemmas of parental love, the sentiments of a ruined marriage, career-ruining treachery, the exhilaration of new love, and life-changing peril. This fabulous story will amuse thriller and adventure fans who enjoy action-packed stories rich in lighthearted humor, romance, and psychological insights.
