Cry Savage Tears by R.A.R. Clouston has two dynamic events woven together, making this an intense novel you cannot put down. Kayla Halcro has grown up with great love and respect for Siberian tigers. Her father owns a research center that protects these tigers, and sometimes they have been the only outlet for her grieving heart after the passing of her mother and her troubled teen years. When the seven tigers that were being held at The Preserve escape, Kayla pairs up with Geordie Traynor, the sheriff of Flathead County, to capture as many of the tigers as they can with the least amount of human deaths. Without tracking chips and thousands of miles to cover, will they accomplish what they set out to do? Will their budding romance withstand the deadly consequences that unfold?
I found Cry Savage Tears one of the best novels I have ever read. R.A.R. Clouston drew me in completely with the first chapter and I knew this would be a captivating book. With vivid descriptions as the events unfold, the author places you in each scene. I felt the intensity of the moment as the tigers wander the countryside. The action runs smoothly from one scene to the next as most of the tigers split up and make their presence known. The characters are well developed with distinct personalities and flaws. Overall, I was mesmerized with this book and kept my family up-to-date on what was happening with the tigers. This novel would make an excellent movie, more of a romantic thriller.
