Almost every human endeavor stems from curiosity. In Curiosity Redefines the Limits, Rod Adkins draws upon his background as a veteran business executive, including senior vice president of IBM, to provide a blueprint for growth and success rooted in human curiosity. Born in Augusta, Georgia, Rod grew up in South Florida and, from a very young age, developed a passion for martial arts. He eventually attended Rollins College in Winter Park and then later graduated from Georgia Tech. During his college years, he was a proud member of the Gamma Theta fraternity house. After joining IBM in 1981, Rod traveled the world, frequently visiting countries like India and China. Along the way, he learned the value of being curious, accepting no limits, having fun, learning teamwork, collaboration, and the well-being of employees.
Curiosity Redefines the Limits is for all those people who strive to lead from the front. Rod Adkins shares his own personal leadership journey to show how curiosity-driven endeavors can bring transformative change to an organization and one's career and personal prospects. Although Rod's journey is unique to his life, his experiences will resonate with readers from all walks of life. It demonstrates the strength of a curious and driven personality that will help readers navigate their own challenges. I found the writing very engaging and immersive. Rod's story is truly inspiring. He embraces the fundamental traits of being a good leader and offers readers a blueprint for growth and success. All in all, this is a great leadership guide and memoir. It will definitely motivate future leaders of tomorrow. Highly recommended.
