Danger in the Tulip Fields" by Patti Ann Bengen has all the right stuff of an exciting romance thriller...
Boy meets girl (in Afghanistan), girl meets boy (she is a news reporter), girl falls in love with boy, boy falls in love with girl (he`s a reporter/secret agent).
Boy leaves girl (he has no choice; he is given another assignment by our government), girl misses boy. Time goes by with no word from him (he cannot communicate).
Girl meets another guy, a French diplomat;(she has given up on her Jeffrey).Guy meets girl and they fall in love,perhaps.(guy is using girl, the no-good cad). They get married, time goes by.
Girl leaves guy (she finds out that he`s a player). Boy finds girl again. Guy is very angry.Girl gets kidnapped, Guy gets killed, Girl is rescued...True love!
All the right elements...love,death,war-torn Afghanistan,France,good times, bad times, good guys-bad guys, love scenes-death scenes, excitement-guns,kidnapping. All I can say is, "Ms. Bengen, job well done!
