You would think being able to put a grown man on his ass would discourage men from approaching her but Anabelle Montgomery is different. Dangerously Beautiful by Claire Merchant follows Belle, a bartender who is approached by a strange man with an even stranger proposition. According to Jeremy, she will be joining a group of people who work as vigilantes, but there seems to be more to it than that. Is Anabelle up to using her looks to get the job done, or will her insecurities be her downfall?
Dangerously Beautiful by Claire Merchant is a thrilling read, and by that, I mean there was a constant buzz of excitement as I read the story. I enjoyed the characters' interactions as Anabelle integrated into the Diamond agency. I found Astrid, in particular, to be an entertaining and charming character. I loved her witty comments and how sassy she could be on occasion. Despite the nature of the characters' work, the overall story has a light tone, mainly due to how the characters interact and relate to one another. Each member of Diamond helped Anabelle grow in some way despite the hardships she encountered, and this was the most enjoyable aspect for me. It is well written, and I look forward to other books from this author.
