Author Biography

I believe reading is a gift.

As a small child, I grew up living next door to my grandmother who was a voracious and passionate reader. For me, this meant that I had an endless supply of books in my favorite genres at my disposal. I read them greedily. My grandmother knew that books were more than mere words on a page. A well-crafted story has the power to stir the imagination and take us far beyond the boundaries of our own reality. There is no limit to where we may travel or what adventures we may find. Is it any wonder that I fell in love?

It was a natural progression and almost inevitable that I would begin penning my tales. I always thought I would release a young adult novel as my first publication. However, when the moment arrived, I found that my heart told me it was time to pay-it-forward and share the gift of reading with curious, young emergent readers. My grandmother would have approved.

Which kid doesn't like to read about haunted houses and mysteries? Children will definitely find the book entertaining with its cute mysteries and twists and turns. The friendship between the two girls and their different personalities add more vigor to the plot and their realistic portrayal lends credibility to the events. There is mystery, spookiness and humor in the plot. The illustrations give an identity to the girls and make the scenes come alive. The interactive questions at the end of the story will interest kids. It is an excellent way to refresh what they have read. It is a good book for children and perfect to be kept in school libraries. The plot is intelligent and creative and makes for a fun read.

Dani P is a wonderful series, I thoroughly enjoy. Dani has moxie and fearless nerve when it comes to solving crimes and she doesn't let her age or small stature limit her at all.

The plot is brilliantly written and the suspense builds and recedes in a way that keeps the reader mesmerized, once I started reading I simply had to finish before I could put it down.

Kids will love the cleverly written characters of Dani and her best friend Cloe, they are depicted in such a fun and realistic way that they feel like they walked out of the school yard into the book.

Both books in the Dani P series make perfect classroom resources offering many features that can be used as lesson plans. I highly recommend this series but beware it will be hard to put Dani P down once you start reading.

Well Done K. Lamb, I will be looking forward to your next book in the series!
