Denny and Penny: A Fun Rhyming Picture Book by Silas Wood is an amusing and educational picture book for young children. Denny and Penny couldn't be more different. Denny enjoys indulging in sweet, sugary foods, while Penny enjoys a healthier diet. She loves seafood and yummy leeks that make her strong and sleek. One day Denny is all out of food and is desperate for one of his sugary treats. He visits Penny to plead with her to give him some sugary goodness but is put into an even worse mood when she tells him she only has seafood and leeks. Penny convinces Denny to try her favorite food, and seals the deal with the thought of cherry pie for dessert! Will Denny like Penny's choice of food and will he change his sugary ways?
I had so much fun reading Silas Wood's book Denny and Penny, as I was impressed by his writing talent from the very first page. Silas has created an amazing book for children. They are going to love every second of reading it, and I am certain it will become their new favorite book to read. The illustrations are adorable and truly come alive through the author's words. I highly recommend this book to anyone with children as I assure you that you won't be disappointed in the outcome. It will teach youngsters important lessons and maybe even give them the nudge they need to eat less junk food. Please continue to write more books like this, Silas, as I would love to read one where Denny gives up another one of his bad habits!
