Diet, De-Stress, Detox: The Formula for Reclaiming Your Health & Vitality is a nutrition, fitness and health guide written by Kevin W. Reese. Reese argues that most of the health problems people suffer are caused by the foods they are eating and the lifestyles they are leading. He advocates an Eating the Sunlight plan that consists mainly of fruit, greens, nuts and seeds. Reese compares the anatomies of carnivores, herbivores and frugivores, and he demonstrates how human beings are most closely related to fruit eating primates. Reese offers advice on how to adapt to that type of diet, both with raw and some cooked meals. The second D in his 3D program stands for De-Stress and Reese shows the reader how to do just that, while acknowledging that life can and does happen. He discusses physical fitness, meditation and yoga and shows how to safely and effectively incorporate each into your routine. Finally, he discusses detoxification: why it's necessary; how to do it, and what to expect during the process.
Kevin W. Reese's nutritional health and wellness book, Diet, De-Stress, Detox: The Formula for Reclaiming Your Health & Vitality offers lots of good ways to regain control of your body's health and well-being. Some of the concepts may seem hard to adjust to, but Reese shows how they can be incorporated as a gradual process. Reese writes clearly and is a great communicator. He lives what he's espousing, and his concern for those who undertake his program is clear and convincing. I've been considering a Paleo-type program and will have to reconsider that step based on what I've just read. The Eat the Sunlight food regimen sounds a bit daunting for a meat-eater, but the rewards seem impressive indeed. I also plan on trying some of his meditation and fitness suggestions. I'm pretty impressed by what I read in Diet, De-Stress, Detox: The Formula for Reclaiming Your Health & Vitality and am seriously considering taking on that challenge.
