Which is the best way to know God’s intentions for your child’s life and what does God expect of children? Direct Thy Path (Mrs. Christian’s Daycare) by Tiffiney Rogers-McDaniel describes what every Christian child needs to do to dwell in God’s presence. After teaching the children the weekly Bible verse, Mrs. Christian thought of a way to ensure that they would remember what they had learned. She figured that demonstrating it through Hope, one of the children, would be the best instructional method. This is because while children may forget what they hear, they rarely forget what they experience. She blindfolded Hope and instructed her to follow her instructions. We then see Hope finding her way by following directions and winning prizes.
What I loved most about Direct Thy Path (Mrs. Christian’s Daycare) by Tiffiney Rogers-McDaniel is the use of colorful illustrations to complement the narration. The images are beautifully presented, making the book even more appealing to children. The story is also well written and the author has incorporated many lessons in one book, making it useful for parents who want their children to learn about obedience. The author also uses simple vocabulary that is easy for children to understand. The book also shows what could happen when children deviate from the instructions they are given, clearly demonstrating that choices have consequences. The book is well suited for children aged between 4 and 8 years. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good storybook that will teach children obedience.
