Double Trouble: Short Story Collection by DM Wolfenden contains three short stories. The first story is about Carly, a young woman who was kidnapped by the man who killed her family, and is now being held for his murder, but they can't find the body. The Box is about two sisters who open a mysterious box left by their father. Bernie and the Beast features Bernie who has visions of a monster. The stories were good and there are a few twists along the way. The title threw me slightly, but I guess each story featured a double of sorts. The stalker in the first story had a twin, two sisters etc, so it works.
DM Wolfenden has written some entertaining stories in Double Trouble. I liked the first story the best. You didn't know where it was going and I thought there was an interesting twist at the end. Overall, I enjoyed the stories. I think they could have worked as full length novels too. The stories did have a good premise and drew you in straight away, which isn't always easy to do. I think this will do quite well on the market and I would like to see more from this author in the future.
