Drawn Together: A Red Star Romance Novel by Emma Saxon is a romantic story. Cheryl Maitland is a commercial artist in London with a love of drawing cartoons. Her hero is Kent Gordon, famous Bubbles Cartoonist whose work is published all over the world. When Cheryl is offered a mysterious job by Kent, to work on his island retreat in the South Pacific, she accepts, not really knowing what she is getting into. Things take an odd turn when he claims to a newspaper that they are engaged, then tells her she must stick to that story for the length of the 2-year contract he has her sign. Kent Gordon is up to something, and his secretary Lois Rimmer does nothing to dispel that. The only thing is Cheryl can’t quite figure out what it is. What she does find out leaves her stunned and lost, not knowing what to do or where to go.
Drawn Together: A Red Star Romance Novel by Emma Saxon was a true romance story. It had all the elements – the woman who has few options open to her, the sexy man that comes in to sweep her off her feet, an air of mystery and the inevitable romance. It was a nice easy read, not one of those books that dips and turns everywhere. Instead, it was easy to follow, with a few neat twists in it, although I feel it could have done with a little more drama in it. However, the plot was written well, as were the characters, and I did enjoy it. I believe anyone who is a fan of the romance genre will also enjoy this book.
