Eli Arnold and the Keys to Forever, Book Three: All Roads by John Carter is the third book in the Eli Arnold series where Eli is sent to Rome to get the next key of forever. Readers are taken to darker places and experience many adventures like time travel, gadgets, technology, holograms, art, architecture, barbarians, good and evil as they go on this adventure trip with Eli. As in the other books, Eli goes out of control while on the search for the keys and his friends keep him grounded many times. History and mythology are woven together masterfully in Book 3 and the author connects these themes to the main plot very well.
I found the book entertaining and it is a great series for middle school kids. Readers will be kept occupied through the twists and turns in the plot as the mysteries and adventures unravel. Eli's character has been sketched well and the rest of the characters complement the plot as the story progresses. The narration is descriptive and detailed, making it visual, vivid and palpable to readers.
It's an exciting book for readers who enjoy adventure stories with an element of mystery, intrigue and whimsy. This book gives readers some insight into science and history without making it too difficult to comprehend. It is an outstanding fantasy adventure that will enchant and captivate young readers.
