Author Ivoril Snow shares the true story of her life and how she viewed the events that unfolded. Flames of Cold Fire challenges the reader to listen to Ivoril's story and learn from both the positive and negative events of her life. The reader will learn about her life as a child with a dad that wasn't the best role-model for his daughter. Ivoril married young in life, looking for a way out and a better life, yet that didn't happen as she had hoped. There is disharmony, cheating, lies, mistrust, and shame within this young marriage, yet she later finds hope as she escapes from the trouble she finds herself in. The reader will be taken on a journey that explores what it means to search for peace and security outside of God, and how turning back to the one who truly loves you can make all the difference within one's life.
There is joy found in serving God, yet later the cares of the world seem to overtake Ivoril until later, she returns to church and her faith that is placed within God grows stronger. While there are many ups and downs that the reader will experience while traveling along this life story, there is found within a theme of hope and encouragement. There is an emphasis on the Church of the Latter Day Saints and, while I don't personally agree with their theology, I am happy that someone was there for Ivoril in her time of need.
