In the newest book by author Gledé Browne Kabongo, Game of Fear, readers will be treated to a great read. Suspenseful and at times edge of your seat and nail bitingly thrilling, the story follows protagonist Abbie Cooper. A good girl, someone who's never been in trouble, Abbie thinks she has her life pretty much figured out. Her main goal is to attend an Ivy League school and, with that in mind, she knows her senior year at St. Matthew's Academy will be a challenge. But when she is blackmailed by someone who has not only information but photos of the most shameful thing she has ever done in her life, all of her plans may come to nothing. More than that, who knows her secret, and what do they want? Will Abbie find out before it's too late?
I so enjoyed Game of Fear. Author Gledé Browne Kabongo has done an incredible job in creating characters, especially Abbie, that her readers will connect with, relate to, and continue to think about long after the book is done. If that isn't a hallmark of a great author, I am not sure what is. This book is exciting and shocking and, coming from a person who reads voraciously, it's pretty hard to find a book that actually keeps me guessing until the end. This book does just that. I highly recommend Game of Fear to any reader looking for a great story that will get their heart pumping. I certainly hope that author Gledé Browne Kabongo is already working on her next book! I, for one, would be excited to read it!
