God Hearts Me: Daily Devotions for a Girl’s Heart is a sweet and adorable book of devotions from the Bible just for girls. Each devotion is about a topic that young girls face in everyday life. Each one is short, only taking a few minutes to read. At the end of each, there are journal lines to record verses and thoughts on the devotion for the day.
This is a very well thought out devotional for young girls. I really like that they are written on the level of tween and teen girls, making them much easier for them to read and understand. And since the devotions deal with teen issues, they can relate to what is said, and the girls can find something special to help them throughout their day.
One of the devotions that stood out for me was “One of a Kind.” The verse to go with this is Isaiah 64:8 (NLT), “We are the clay, and You are the Potter. We are all formed by Your hand.” And from the devotion…… You are a work of art fashioned by the Master Sculptor. God wants you to shine as His creation, to develop the talents He gave you. So quit trying to be like other people. Stand out! Be different! Be yourself!
I just can’t say enough about this special devotional. I think this is a much needed book for young ladies, and I highly recommend it. I encourage you to pick up a copy for your tween or teen young lady soon!
