Mizune is from a royal clan renowned for its great warriors. She is her father’s sole heir, which is why her escaping from home to take on a dangerous mission is of deep concern to her family. She wants to find a great collector named Akagami, and after months of searching, she finally arrives at his house. The image Akagami portrays is not of the fabled collector Mizune had expected, but they agree on terms. Mizune wants Akagami to help her recover a book called the Red Pages. The book contains a collection of the Old Kingdom’s most powerful tenjutsu. She intends to use it to restore balance in the world. As events unfold, Kisuke, the monster hunter, learns of the Ryū Squad’s intention of killing Akagami and is determined to save him. How will things unfold in Golden Kamen: Convergence by K. Mafikeng?
Golden Kamen: Convergence by K. Mafikeng is a page-turner that I could not put down once I started reading it. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, looking forward to the events of subsequent chapters. I loved the excellent choice in using both historical aspects of feudal Japan and modern technology. This thought-provoking work also piqued my curiosity about the shogunate era. The characters were well-developed, and the reader will also appreciate the vivid descriptions of events and places, which help one to create a mental picture of what is happening. The excellent narration also added to the overall beauty of this amazing work. This was a great read, and I look forward to more by K. Mafikeng.
