In Grandma’s Notes On Healthy Eating, by Brenda Silveira, the author begins by stressing that confidence is the key to all good health. The main points to good health are to eat healthily, exercise daily and manage stress. For the first point, the author states that one would not fill up a vehicle with garbage instead of gasoline and expect the vehicle to drive. Therefore, we should not fill up our bodies with garbage, but with healthy food. Then, for the second point, the author advises starting out exercising five to ten minutes a day, then work your way up. As for the third point, the author suggests a process of elimination by creating a to-do list of one to five tasks of what really matters each day. For example, an action to change would be that your kitchen does not have to be so clean that your family can eat off the floor. The author wrote this book after having had two strokes.

This lifestyle book flowed smoothly from chapter to chapter. This book is perfect for that highly-strung person in your life. You know, the person burning the candle at both ends. I was impressed by how the author mentions praying to God. Not very many lifestyle books do this. The book covers so much territory in such a brief format. Each chapter has lists. They say lists help people to remember better. For example, the author lists what happens to people when they do not get enough sleep and another would be the benefits of drinking water, just to name a couple. A very, very good book that proves how anyone can build themselves up with confidence, little by little.
