Guardian of the Dragons: A Mage's History is a work of fiction in the fantasy, action, and adventure subgenres, and is the third novel in the current series. It is intended for young adult readers to enjoy. Penned by author team Gary and Isabel Walbourne, this thrilling novel immerses readers in a fantastical world of dragons, wizards, and magic as young mage Lord Garigard Kirton embarks on a quest to recover his missing dragon while preparing for the arrival of a clutch of eggs, an unprecedented event in his family's history. Facing off against dangerous enemies, Garig must navigate treacherous landscapes and confront powerful adversaries to ensure the safety of his beloved dragons and uphold his family's legacy.

Gary and Isabel Walbourne have crafted an enchanting and thrilling fantasy that transported me to a world filled with wonder and adventure from the first moment. The seamless blend of fantasy elements, including classic elements like dragons and magic, combined with relatable characters and engaging plotlines gives the work a grounded sense of realism where you always feel for the characters and their struggles, no matter how fantastical the story gets. The authors' vivid storytelling and imaginative world-building captured my imagination and will certainly do the same for their intended audience, painting gorgeous word pictures of far-flung places and cinematic action. The dynamic between Garig and his companions, as well as the challenges they face together, added emotional resonance and was achieved with strong dialogue and attitude portrayals. Overall, Guardian of the Dragons: A Mage's History is a must-read for fans of fantasy and adventure, offering an unforgettable journey into a world where anything is possible.
