The saga of Hana Johal, now Hana Du Rose, continues in the second installment of The Du Rose Mysteries by KT Bowes. Hana is trying to settle into her married life, captivated by her wonderful and mysterious husband, Logan. However, they are still haunted by events of the past, and new secrets are revealed every day it seems. Hana simply wants peace to enjoy her second chance at love. However, with jealous relatives, strange henchmen, and a stubborn husband, will she ever get a moment’s peace?
Having read the first book in the series, About Hana, I can say with all sincerity that Hana Du Rose is as good, if not better! Now the background story has been put in place, Bowes was able to focus on Logan and Hana’s relationship in intricate detail. I found the second book to be more free flowing, following both through their accident prone lives, even if not all of them are their own faults! I loved the fact the pair had a flawed relationship as it was more realistic and relatable. Sometimes, when you read a women’s fiction book, the romances are almost too good to be true. Hana and Logan are like every other couple, except someone is still after Hana for unknown reasons. Again, the descriptions of the scenery made me feel like I was right there in New Zealand along with them. I’m very much looking forward to the final installment, where I hope to gain the answers to my questions. Even though this isn’t a standalone, it’s very worthwhile to read The Du Rose Mysteries from the beginning! Hana Du Rose by KT Bowes is another stellar example of what women’s fiction should be!
