I Always Will by Michael C. Kelly is an adorable book that speaks about the unconditional love shared between parents and children. From the first time they lock eyes, the first breath, and the first time they are held close, a parent remembers everything, even if the child does not. The mother in this book remembers every small thing she has shared with her baby and though the baby is now grown, the mother still remembers all the wonderful moments. A parent's love for their children never runs out; they love them forever and children should never doubt it.
This book is a celebration of love and family bonding and is perfect for children and adults as well. The rhyming verses are filled with love and warmth and the beautiful illustrations make the verses more captivating and fascinating. They bring alive the love and warmth that is hidden between the lines of the verses and make them tangible to readers. It is a beautiful book and is perfect for poetry reading sessions in classrooms and school libraries. Parents and grandparents can read it out during bedtime to help children understand the depth of parental love. The thoughts echoed by the author show what every parent feels and experiences but putting it down on paper and bringing it out as a book is a wonderful idea. It makes those thoughts and feelings experienced by parents immortal and everlasting and takes a parent's memories of their kids' childhood to another level.
