The book is all about a woman's journey towards self discovery and independence. It tells the tale of how she fights her inner battles and how she handles her external obstacles and temptations. It tells the story of how she found her voice and the various ups and downs that she had to endure. The author shares her world of pain, loss, love, spirituality, hardships and victories with the readers through her literary prowess. This book is truly something valuable. It reaches out to every sister, mother, friend and, most of all, to every woman who has fought tooth and nail for her independence and for her sanity.

There is a little bit of something for every woman in this book. It lets you forgive yourself for the past and makes you want to look forward to the future and appreciate yourself in the present. As I read through the pages of the book, I could appreciate my being a woman and myself as a whole person. It taught me to accept the things that I cannot change, and just continue to make myself better for me. It is with this book that I finally digested the cliche, "you have to love yourself, before you can fully love others." This book has helped me accept myself and to let go of all the negativity I have placed in my life. It has made me feel that I am not alone in my struggles and that there is a sister out there who shares my pain. This is definitely a must read!
