Kate: Seamwalker is a wonderful magical fantasy adventure by talented author Gypsy McKnight. The story takes us to Boston, USA. Twenty-five-year-old unemployed Kate Jullator is desperately looking for a job, but she keeps getting rejections. Suddenly, she receives a lucrative offer that feels too good to be true. But, having no other choice, Kate accepts. A limousine whisks her off to a nondescript glass tower, where Kate is offered a heavily redacted contract. It turns out that Dragon Zara the Eternal has hired Kate to recover the enchanted scroll that tracks the cursed Crown of Psionic Vision. Zara believes that the scroll is with her ex-husband, dragon Lord Rykys, in a cave guarded by goblins. Kate accepts the mission. But can she recover the scroll? And more importantly, will she survive?
Gypsy McKnight’s Kate: Seamwalker is one of the most fabulous magical fantasies I have read since Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. It satisfied me thoroughly with perilous adventures, witty riddles, and magical creatures, including ghouls, vampires, dragons, a shapeshifting selkie, undead skeletons, and a wizard. The spectacular adventures unfolding in another dimension kept me riveted from the first page to the last. The subtle humor was terrific, and, as a lawyer, I particularly liked the humorous allusions to legalistic absurdities. Kate’s pet dragon whelp, Rudy, is the most charming fantasy dragon I have come across. If you like suspenseful, thrilling, heartwarming, and light-pitched magical fantasies packed with spectacular, perilous adventures, great humor, and unforgettable characters, this novel will surely delight you!
