According to the author, sometimes clarity is the byproduct of crises. She emphasizes the importance of planning one's lessons and offers valuable insights on maintaining a connection during remote teaching. Learn to recognize your strengths and weaknesses, identify the resources and strategies that aid your professional growth, pursue growth opportunities to stay motivated, celebrate your professional value, and build resilience to develop a growth mindset.
This is one of the best books for teachers I've read. Through personal anecdotes and examples, Anne Richter points out the key challenges educators face today and offers strategies and tools to help them navigate crises without losing their love and passion for teaching. I loved the fact that Richter focused on both professional growth and self-care for teachers in this guide. Her observations are spot-on and based on real-life experience. It's clear she has also done a lot of research for this book. It's a practical guide for the modern teaching era. I'm one hundred percent sure most educators will be able to relate to Richter's stories and find her takeaways applicable in their professional lives. Overall, In Our Classrooms is a comprehensive book and very engaging. I highly recommend it.
