“In Plain View,” is book 2 in Olivia Newport’s 'Valley of Choice series', and continues the story of Annie who has left her fast-paced life behind for a quieter and simpler life with an Amish community. Annie is loving the simple life that she found herself living months earlier when she fled her former, hectic life. Annie is beginning to feel as if she fits in and is adjusting to this life and finds herself falling more and more for Rufus. However, not everyone feels the same as Annie and this leads her to question her decisions and whether this life is really for her or not. Interwoven into Annie and Rufus’s story is the story of earlier ancestors as well which is a continuation from book one.
I really enjoy Olivia Newport’s work! Her style of writing is so easy to read and I find myself immediately getting drawn into the story and the characters’ lives. However, before beginning this book, book one must be read in order to get the full story of the characters and understand where the characters have been and how they have gotten to this point in their lives. Plus, it is such a great book that you will not want to miss out on it as well. Switching back and forth between time periods and characters is not confusing at all and I love this approach to the book. I highly recommend Olivia Newport's work. She is an author not to miss out on!
