Jenny is a work of fiction in the interpersonal drama, crime, and paranormal romance subgenres. It is best suited to mature adult readers owing to the presence of strong language, explicit sexual situations, and graphic violence throughout. Penned by author Michael D. Golvach, this emotionally charged tale delves deep into the complexities of love, betrayal, and the consequences of our actions. The story follows Bonnie, a young woman yearning for the love of her life and partner in crime, Nicholas. Her lifelong desire to be with him drives her to take action, but a series of misunderstandings and misjudgments lead to devastating consequences.

Author Michael D. Golvach has crafted a novel brimming with intense human emotions, building a connection between the reader and Bonnie's plight as we explore her desires and psyche to their darkest depths. The story explores themes of love and betrayal, highlighting how assumptions and a lack of open communication can spiral into chaos on a slippery slope indeed. Bonnie's journey is fraught with obstacles, both real and supernatural, adding layers of suspense and intrigue as the clever pacing of the plot presents new challenges and twists. Thanks to this, the novel keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly questioning the characters' motives and anticipating the next twist, reading between the lines of the sharply-penned dialogue for hints. Despite its dark theming and some really gripping scenes of hurt, Bonnie’s journey reminds us that love and redemption are often entangled with our past mistakes, and the path to happiness is not always straightforward. Overall, Jenny is a thrilling and thought-provoking exploration of human nature, making it an excellent read for those who enjoy dark, character-driven stories. I would certainly recommend it as a unique and captivating reading experience.

Michael Golvach’s Jenny is a paranormal action story divided into five parts. A pregnant woman and her partner, Nigel, enter the In-Between when they walk past their town’s border. The woman gains invincibility and eternal youth. Sadly, Nigel doesn’t meet the same fate. Years pass to find Nicholas and Bonnie picking Alfons’s video store as a target. Inside the store, Nicholas goads William to get Bonnie’s number. Bonnie cons William into going into the back room to look for a movie. She steals two sealed money packages by hiding them in her pants. She tells William her name is Jenny and provides him with her nemesis’s phone number. The plan backfires, placing Nicholas, Bonnie, Sarabelle, Jonathan, William, and Whitney in Alfons’ crosshairs. Unbeknownst to everyone, “War” is coming to alter their reality.

Michael Golvach writes an intriguing set of events affecting a colorful cast of characters. It left the identity of the pregnant woman blank, but her plight began in every part. This gives clues to her involvement with Nicholas, Bonnie, and Sarabelle. Sarabelle and Bonnie’s friendship shows how antagonistic they are to each other. Bonnie’s irrational thoughts place Nicholas in danger, despite her secret love for him. I felt sympathy for Nicholas and William since others took advantage of their trust. The gory details of the violence are easy to envision. The alternating views between the characters gave a unique look into what motivated their actions. Every individual’s personality is realistic; therefore, I could relate to the emotions they portrayed. The complex plot is easy to follow, and the action fills every page. Intense suspense and foreboding captured my full attention. Jenny will appeal to anyone who enjoys paranormal events that are unpredictable from the start to the end of the book.

Jenny by Michael Golvach follows the story of Bonnie, a broken girl looking for redemption. She suffered physical, sexual, and emotional abuse from those who should have protected her. Bonnie also loved Nicholas, her best friend’s (Sarabelle) partner. And even when they broke up, she couldn’t have him because Sarabelle would do anything to damage Bonnie’s self-esteem and happiness. When it looked like things were getting better between her and Nicholas, she caught him in a compromising position with Sarabelle. Bonnie silently vowed to take her pound of flesh in the most dangerous way possible. She put them all in the path of a ruthless crime boss, even though things were not as they seemed. Will it be too late for Bonnie to see her errors? Can they survive the danger ahead?

Jenny by Michael Golvach is a paranormal romance story that centers on love, crime, friendship, and events beyond the physical plane. This novel will suit horror, wild romance, and crime story lovers. It shows the effects of unacknowledged trauma through the lives of the primary female characters. This book also exposed the multifaceted nature of humans, especially under different conditions. Everyone has a wolf and a sheep in them because no person is entirely good or bad. I loved the development and dynamic characters. Jeslane was my favorite character because she owned who she was without pretense. I went from anger to feeling pity for Bonnie, Sarabelle, and especially Whitney because she was a disaster waiting to happen. I didn’t know what to do with Nicholas and William; they were like puppets. Alfons and Jonathan were my worst characters. Jenny kept me glued, and I enjoyed it. Keep writing, Michael.

Jenny by Michael D. Golvach is a paranormal romance with a twist. Bonnie spent most of her life chasing after her dreams and desires. Used to being disappointed with life, the only silver lining in her life was Nicholas. She liked him from afar, and all Bonnie wanted was to confess her feelings and build a life with him. However, things didn’t go as she wanted. Believing Nicholas had betrayed her, she silently walked away from what could have been her dream life. Little did she know, things weren’t easy for Nicholas as well. Nicholas really liked Bonnie and would give anything to be with her. However, everything abruptly altered before their eyes. Every step of the way was fraught with danger, deception, and threats. It was up to Bonnie and Nicholas to figure out how to get back to each other before it was too late.

Jenny is an intriguing novel that was difficult to put down. The story has a fantastic overall vibe and an amazing premise. Divided into five parts, the story revolves around Bonnie/Nicholas and The Maiden and the Shepherd. The switch between the parallel dimensions made the story great. I didn’t feel anything for Bonnie in the beginning, but I loved her as her confidence grew. The title of the story became very obvious in the seventh chapter. The descriptions were incredible. Author Michael D. Golvach created the perfect atmosphere for Bonnie and Nicholas to break out of their shells. The narrative of the In-Between was beautifully created and filled with intrigue. I was looking for clues and parallels between these two universes. I felt excitement as I watched the story unfold and connected the dots in my mind. Jenny proved to be an exciting novel, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
