Katie the Heavenly Hound is a children's book written by Emma M. Glover and illustrated by K.C. Snider. Ideal for young children ages 3 to 7, Katie the Heavenly Hound details the life of a rambunctious Labrador puppy who loves to play and is trying her best to protect her owner. Things get a little messy one day and she gets into big trouble with her owner, who makes the awful decision to put her out and Katie soon becomes a stray dog. Cold and hungry, with no idea what she did wrong, Katie soon encounters a Guardian Angel who helps Katie learn her true purpose in life - to put smiles on people's faces and bring joy into their lives, as well as teaching them a valuable lesson on forgiveness and loving unconditionally.
A Wings of Faith book with Guardian Angel Publishing, Katie the Heavenly Hound by Emma M. Glover is a heartwarming tale, simply told. The author is a former elementary teacher and her love of education and teaching children values is apparent throughout Katie the Heavenly Hound, as Katie also becomes a service dog, bringing joy to ill children and those in need. The artwork by K.C. Snider has a classic feel that really matches well with the text and does a good job of highlighting the action on each page. It makes for an engaging experience that is sure to entrance any young child, whether they're just learning to read or being read to.
