"Like a Lily" is a short romance about Susan William. Susan is trying to heal after a heartbreaking breakup with her boyfriend, so she decides to return to her hometown in Winston Springs and open a flower shop, and hopefully start to mend her broken heart. And like in all small towns, everyone knows all about everyone else, and that includes Susan, so the matchmaking begins to find her a new beau. And who else would be a perfect match but the single preacher at the church in the community? But what does the preacher say about that?

Wow, I really enjoyed this heartwarming Easter story. I love the community and its residents because they never cease to show how much they care for each other. But maybe they show their care just a little too much for Susan and preacher Ben because they are both nursing past heart wounds and neither is interested in romance. But this is what makes the story so enjoyable. Being able to watch the two deal with their past hurts and begin to heal keeps you reading the story to see what the outcome will be. This is a very short story, with only forty one pages, so you can read it in one setting. I encourage you to purchase a copy, sit down and enjoy a delightful, springtime romance in the pages of "Like a Lily" by Victoria Pitts-Caine. I think you will be very happy that you chose this entertaining book.
