Lips of an Angel by Adam Alexander is a story of two people who didn’t want love, but love found them in the most peculiar way. Ethan’s brother has been murdered and he is sure that the police are not even trying to find the murderer. So he is ready to take matters into his own hands and has no time for love. Riley has given up on men after her disastrous last relationship. A broken heart and lies are enough to have her take a break from relationships and men in general. However, fate has other plans for both of them. When Riley meets with a medium that can talk to angels, she realizes that there is one particular angel that only she can hear. This angel has things to share that can change her future. Nothing is chance, everything has a purpose. So when Ethan and Riley meet, she knows that there is something big happening. But neither of them can step back, especially when their connection is so strong. What will happen next?
Intense yet so refreshing, Lips of an Angel by Adam Alexander is something different. The author kept the integrity of the supernatural genre and allowed the protagonists to explore their relationship. I loved the romance element, but I enjoyed the suspense and the mystery behind the angels more. I was invested in their personal stories as well as how Ethan and Riley’s relationship built and grew. The concept of the novel is handled well and I particularly enjoyed the dialogues. They revealed so much about the characters, who they really are and what their real intentions are. I hope the author has more to share about Riley and Ethan because I cannot wait to read more from Adam Alexander. This is a real entertainer!
