In Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper, by Elle Brookes, Lesley Meryn lived a very secluded life, with just the characters in her books for company. Save for her long time best friend, major movie star Jax, she was not really into socialising with anyone, especially after the death of her dear aunt. She had had her fair share of failed attempts at relationships, thanks to Jax's endless efforts to set her up, until she decided to just give up. When her lawyer told her she needed to travel to London and personally sort out matters pertaining to her aunt's estate, she could not imagine what kind of business her aunt left behind that needed her personal attention. The visit to London brought back bittersweet memories of her early years, but it also had more surprises. Lesley needed to locate an old family property and sort out an upcoming lease renewal, but nothing prepared her for what she found on the property, and most especially for the surge of intense and confusing emotions towards the man currently occupying the property.

Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper by Elle Brookes is very thrilling romance story that had me hooked after reading just part of the prologue. It is the kind of story that has you reading nonstop because you cannot wait to find out the answers to the several intriguing questions that keep coming up along the way. The plot of the story has a thrilling romance theme yet gives so much more than that; suspense, intrigue, thrills, drama and sci-fi. Elle Brookes brought this captivating story to life with a flawless and very fitting writing style and characters that a reader could easily connect with and understand their emotions throughout the novel. I especially loved how Elle Brookes portrayed Lesley's character and the character development through flashbacks to her earlier life, which helped me understand her even better. I had an absolute reading thrill with this page-turner.

Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper (Time-Frame Series Book 1) written by author Elle Brookes is a delightful combination of action adventure, romance. In Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper we meet Lesley Meryn a feisty romance author. She has lived many exciting adventures but she has never experienced true love, the type of love where the mere touch takes your breath away. Actor and hunk extraordinaire Jason Hambrey is her best friend and only friends regardless of what the tabloids may insinuate. When Lesley inherits property from her aunt she catches a flight to North Yorkshire to view her inheritance. The property is currently under lease to a historical research group headed by Miles Sherwood. Could Miles be the one to sweep her off her feet? Or is Jax her true love?

Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper is a hoot to read and I genuinely found myself laughing out loud. This is author Elle Brookes debut novel, which I found surprising because I would have thought she was a seasoned author. She is a master at character development and I truly developed a connection to the characters. How could anyone not love Lesley Meryn! Even in the prologue her character was developing. The descriptions are exquisite. The pig was a great addition to the cast. I could just see Napoleon drinking Evian. I think this is just the beginning of Lesley’s adventures. Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper. leaves us wanting more and the author left the ending open for a sequel. Don’t miss this one! Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper is a fast fun read, great for holiday gift giving or for lounging around the pool.

Lesley Meryn, lead female character of Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper. by Elle Brookes has had quite an arduous and adventurous childhood, and after losing her parents, she is placed with her Aunt Sophia. As an adult, she has a close friendship with a movie star, whom she grew up with before either of them achieved fame, and a rewarding career as a romance adventure novelist. But, as close as she is to Jax, she has yet to feel love... Until she also loses her aunt, some secrets are revealed about her family, and she travels to London to sort them out. There she meets Miles, a man she finds irresistible yet highly annoying, and they set off on an unbelievable adventure of their own.

Elle Brookes makes Lesley Meryn a worldly, knowledgeable, intelligent character and yet she is innocent and vulnerable at the same time. Yes, she has flaws, and at times I found her annoying. However, it worked within the story line. I was unaware this romantic adventure was a time travel novel, and it took me by surprise. There is plenty of information to help you grow to know Lesley and Jax in this book, lots of action, fencing of words – and swords as well. A quick and fun read if you are interested in this genre, it is the first book of a series which ends in a big old cliffhanger just as you feel you are getting to the real meat of the story. You are probably going to want to read the book after Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper. to find out what happens next.

Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper - the Time Frame Series Book One is a suspenseful romance that incorporates quantum physics, time travel, high tech computers, and a plot full of strange happenings. Lesley Meryn is a talented and famous romance novelist living in Los Angeles. All she does is work and more work. Her best friend since childhood, the equally famous Hollywood hunk and actor, Jason Kent Hambrey, or better known as Jax, is the only one she is really close to after the death of her aunt. Jax may want something more from Lesley, but before she can take the chance of something more than friendship with him, she must venture to England to take care of a legal problem her aunt left behind. Before Lesley can understand what is happening, she is involved in a plot and situation on the estate her aunt left her. She meets an enigmatic and very secretive stranger named Miles who sets her senses on fire. What she discovers on the estate is truly unbelievable and a series of time travel adventures are ignited, while villains are chasing them. Time is just beginning in this series.

Author Elle Brookes writes her time travel series with a lot of suspense and mystery surrounding the time travel machine Miles has been working on. The dialogue and tension is palpable between Lesley and Miles as the "lust" in the title is sparked continuously between these two. The title is a charming play on words for this witty romance novel that is sure to entertain readers everywhere. Even though this book is short, it drew me in and I want to know what happens in the next installment! Even though I'm not a huge fan of time travel books, I recommend this book to any avid romance readers.

Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper. is Book One of the Time-Frame Series, a romantic suspense series written by Elle Brookes. Lesley Meryn is a transplanted Englishwoman who lives on a hill overlooking Los Angeles. She writes romantic novels filled with action and adventure, which have proved to be immensely popular. Lesley prefers to be out of the public eye, however, so her bestsellers do not have her picture on the dust jacket, nor does she do book-signings. What she does do is meticulously research the time frames for her novels, including the chase and fight scenes -- Lesley's an accomplished fencer. Her oldest and best friend, Jax, has a hot screen presence, and any romantic feelings Lesley has for him are tempered by her fear of celebrity status and the loss of privacy it entails. Lesley's somewhat reclusive creative life is interrupted when her business manager tells her that the attorneys managing her late aunt's estate need to meet with her regarding inherited property she knows nothing about.

Elle Brookes' romantic suspense novel, Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper.: Time-Frame Series, Book 1 is original and very entertaining. When we first meet Lesley, she's a tempestuous child whose anger over being dumped on her aunt by her globe-trotting parents is dramatically vented at the attorneys' office. The reader's next glimpse of Lesley is during a duel where her dueling partner ends up in the Koi pool. Lesley is a marvelous main character; she's intelligent, athletic and headstrong. Her books are romantic adventure tales, so who would be surprised when the quiet, mostly inward life the author leads turns into one filled with adventure and just a bit of romance? Brookes' tale is well-plotted, and her characters are compelling and real. I enjoyed reading this first volume in the Time-Frame Series and am looking forward to reading the next volume, Sex: Coffee: Time Travel. Volume One, Lust. Mechanics. Mini Cooper., is highly recommended.
