Hop on for a delightful adventure and see the world through the eyes of a child with Millie Goes to the Big Island. This picture book by Lorna Collins follows a young girl named Millie. It's Millie's first time on an airplane. She is traveling with her mom and dad on a family trip to a beautiful island. Upon arriving at their destination, Millie goes to the beach, where she sees surfers riding the waves. On this vacation, she will also ride in a boat and meet a variety of unique animals, such as dolphins, seals, goats, and a peacock as well. Millie also witnesses a volcano and goes to see a luau, where beautiful ladies tell stories while men dance. She can't wait for her next trip to Maui.
