Seven lovely young women are caught up in romantic exploits in Regency England during the Christmas holidays in Mistletoe, Marriage, and Mayhem: A Bluestocking Belles Collection by a group of wonderful historical romance writers. Each woman has a unique story regarding her place in a rigid society that adhered to strict conventions of behavior, even though they did not necessarily agree with or follow the rules. Seven equally interesting men encounter these ladies and, through chance or design, ask them to be their wives after addressing some exceptional circumstances such as compromising situations, expedient solutions, criminal activity, and, simply, love. The Bluestocking Belles are strong characters who have abilities and interests beyond the finery of noble life and the gossip of the Ton. Intelligence and hard work set these remarkable women apart from the typical ladies of high society and provide them with the courage to stand up to normal convention.
Each of the seven authors - Mariana Gabrielle, Amy Rose Bennett, Jude Knight, Caroline Warfield, Sherry Ewing, Nicole Zoltack and Susana Ellis - has created a heart-warming holiday story, vivid with historic detail and strong emotions. The past is brought alive as each couple works within their environment to both do the ‘right thing’ as well as obey their hearts so there can be a happy ever after solution to some difficult situations. Perfect for the holidays or any time of the year, Mistletoe, Marriage, and Mayhem: A Bluestocking Belles Collection is a delightful read to enjoy by the fire or on the beach – anywhere you enjoy great Regency romance writing.
