What is it like to have a beard? What kinds of wonderful things can you do with a beard? My Dad Has A Beard by Kellen Roggenbuck is a fun children's book about a little boy's daddy's beard. Dad has a beard. His beard is different than some beards. There are all sorts of beards that men grow; long ones, short ones, gray ones, maybe even blue ones? Some men don't have beards, but my dad does. I like the way my dad's beard feels. I like to play with it. I can imagine all sorts of things with my dad's beard. Maybe I would like to grow one when I grow up. Does your daddy have a beard? Do you want to have one when you grow up too?

My Dad Has A Beard by Kellen Roggenbuck is a colorfully illustrated children's book about a man's beard. The subject of beards is fun, and the pictures are so engaging that I believe children will enjoy hearing the book, and parents will love reading it aloud. I liked the story; it was almost poetic in its rhythm. Plus, it was amusing and very entertaining! If I weren't a woman and didn't like my smooth face so much, I might even entertain the notion of growing a beard. The story brought back happy childhood memories of my father's tickly beard and the fun we children had with it. I would recommend this book to children ages 2-6 and anyone that loves theirs or their daddy's beard.
