Her decision to commit to another life, rather than the one she had always planned, will shake her to her foundations and leave her hoping she will not unravel.
In Not Forever, Eternal Rome: One Love, Two Worlds, Lena Mae Winslow tells an enchanting yet realistic story about a holiday romance. She uses Rome and its many historical sites to illustrate the beauty and fragility of the romantic relationship between the main characters. An excellent example is the description of Basilica di San Clemente. The author describes the characters’ descent, layer by layer, as a metaphor for love: past pain and wounds that still live underneath the joy and happiness currently under construction. Eva is one of the most realistic characters I have met; she is strong yet vulnerable, focused yet resilient, self-assured yet insecure as she embraces new relationships. And there are also a few surprises in this fast-paced, engaging romantic adventure.
