Author Biography

JK Battaglia grew up playing outdoors from sun up to sun down. But he was introduced to Bilbo and Frodo Baggins at the age of 12 by a cousin during one summer. And life hasn't been the same since as he began to devour fantasy and science fiction novels. In his adult life, he's branched out into other books as well.

He was inspired to write Photogeist when he, as a ten year old, read about the female ghostly hitchhiker that has become an urban myth in many cultures. It has stuck with him since and he wished to write a novel that was worthy of the mythical female hitchhiker.

In Photogeist by J.K. Battaglia, the city of Justice is plagued by sightings of a ghostly woman who is terrorizing and killing young lovers who have the misfortune to meet her. She is out for revenge and nobody knows who she is and why her spirit will not rest. The family of the ghost hire Kostas Chrysikos, a paranormal investigator, to capture her and put an end to the terror. Using his Graflex camera, he can entrap ghosts inside. He must find the troubled spirit before she kills again. Meanwhile, a young man called Johannas Pascal meets his one true love in a jazz club, they share a dance and then she is gone. He is so enamored by this mysterious woman that he searches for her. Pascal finally tracks her family down and makes a shocking discovery that leads him on a journey to meet his true love again. Pascal and Chrysikos are about to be thrown together in a strange turn of events as they try to find a woman called Ambrosia and a terrifying ghost known simply as Resurrection Mary.

From the first chapter of Photogeist by J.K. Battaglia, you will be hooked. The author has created a spine-tingling novel filled with suspense, horror and romance. The plots have been cleverly intertwined with one another. Be prepared to follow this gripping story until the explosive and dramatic ending, an ending that you will not expect. If you enjoy a paranormal thriller, then you will not find a greater example than this book. The characters were rich and believable. The scenes throughout were excellently written and transported you into the story. Every one of my senses has been touched in reading this book. The emotionally sad love story between Pascal and Ambrosia was heartwarming. I thought the epilogue was a great addition to the story. I am definitely going to read this story again because I feel it is so layered that you really need to read it more than once. I loved this story; it was gripping from the first chapter.
