Project Renovatio by Allison Maruska is a stunning opening to a series that will surely rock the world of fans of sci-fi, a work that offers a powerful scientific concept and rock solid, engaging characters.
Allison Maruska is an author to watch, a gifted writer with the rare knack for creating an unpredictable plot with unexpected surprises served throughout the book. I like the sense of mystery and suspense that permeates the work. You can’t guess what will happen next, but each time you ache to know, and the author makes you feel deep inside that what happens next will most likely blow your mind. The writing is elegantly crisp and enticing, and it’s a quality that readers will enjoy. I loved the characters and how they get to find out about each other. Levin Davis is well imagined and excellently portrayed throughout the story, and readers will love the way he handles the multi-level conflict that afflicts his life. If you love characters you can grow with, themes that excite your mind, and a plot that makes it difficult to put a book down, then Project Renovatio is the book you must read.
