Reclaim Your Financial Wits by Nancy O'Hare is a guide to financial independence. The author gives eight fundamental lessons that readers can practice to better themselves financially, including the importance of saving. Saving over an extended period can increase wealth. Nancy emphasizes controlling your expenses and concentrating on spending on what is of value. She also advises you to put your money in investments that will provide capital growth. Investments should be strategic and not put in one place to spread the risk. Nancy states that saving for purchases is better than buying on credit because incurring debt means you pay more for the item. There are exceptions to this rule, and you will need to read the book to find out more.
No one wishes to struggle with debt. We all want to attain financial freedom, but to achieve this, a person needs to take action and change their mindset. Reclaim Your Financial Wits provides a brief yet impactful guide to attaining your financial goals. Nancy O’Hare provides practical examples and calculations that illustrate her points. Numbers do not lie. The book includes tables showing the monetary calculations to support the text. Nancy has done the math. Remaining consistent, starting small, and growing big is the right way. I loved the honest advice, and I appreciated that Nancy cautions how the path to financial independence is not easy. It takes hard work and involves many sacrifices. A person needs to start from the bottom to reach the top of the ladder.
