Redeeming Ryker is an installment from The Boys of Fury series by Kelly Collins. It will appeal to lovers of contemporary romance with a difference. It features Ryker, a twenty-eight-year-old hunk, who carried the burden of guilt for something that happened twenty years before. He lost his best friend to the disaster and refused to let her memories die by tending her empty house. All was well until Ana from Denver inherited and moved into the same home he tended, which was abandoned for twenty years. It was hate at first sight! Ryker did everything to run her out of town, but Ana was a formidable opponent. Who will give in? It gets juicier when a heavy secret binds the duo, one that will make or mar them.
Redeeming Ryker by Kelly Collins is a story that starts tragically and ends most beautifully. Kelly is such a profound storyteller that I was engrossed in this novel from the start until the end. It just draws you in. The plot was soulful, realistic, and unique, with great depth. I felt the strength of love and devotion from the characters, even at their inconvenience. I applaud the character development as it was superb. I loved Grace’s and Mona’s characters a lot. They were the epitome of imperfect perfections–not having their lives together, but holding it down for Ryker and Ana. The emotions expressed were believable, and the conversations flowed effortlessly. I also appreciate the exceptional editing of this novel. I would love to read more from Kelly.
