"Remission of Sins" offers readers a collection of devotions and prayers for God's Grace in your life. Each chapter has scripture verses from the Bible and a devotion written by Clara Tucker to go along with the verses, followed by a prayer at the end. There are inspirational poems throughout the book as well to go with some of the devotions. The main theme throughout the book is Grace. In the introduction, Ms. Tucker gives a couple of encouraging verses about Grace that sum up what the devotions are about. These verses are, “By the Grace of God, the righteous will flourish like the palm tree, planted in the house of the Lord, they will bear fruit in old age proclaiming, the Lord is upright.” Psalms 92:12-14.
I really appreciated and enjoyed these devotions on God’s Grace to us. As I read about Being Heirs by Adoption, The Shield of Faith, Light in Darkness, God is Love, and Talk to God, I found encouragement and peace in what God does for me each day. For me, no one can have too many devotionals because there is always something included for everyone. This book is well-written and easy to read, and the table of contents makes it easy to find what you are looking for. This will be a great book to keep on hand for the times when you need a good dose of God’s Grace. I recommend "Remission of Sins" to everyone for when those tough times come into their life.
