RIP by Bruce Wessell is an outstanding thriller. Cody Panther was raised by his mother never to hurt anybody innocent. Cody and his mom were victims of domestic abuse by his father. Cody’s home situation became worse to the point that he could no longer stand it. Cody and his mother planned to leave one day while Sam was out of town. As a result of a tragic event, Cody's and his mother’s lives were turned upside down, and the future they were looking forward to was gone. Cody had no idea that his fate would be altered by fear and ferocious hatred, but it was. Cody became a killer, and his life would never be the same. Sometimes you have to make difficult choices just to survive.

Bruce Wessell took me on an emotional roller coaster ride in RIP. The plot was chilling, with death around every corner. The story was fast-paced and action-packed. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a page-turner with unexpected twists and turns. There was no way to predict what would happen next. The events were vividly described and left nothing to the imagination. The characters were well-developed and robust. My favorite was Cody. Despite all the challenges he went through in life, he still remembered his upbringing. At times it was difficult to reconcile the current Cody with the Cody that was introduced at the beginning of the story. The account was brilliantly written and ended with an interesting twist.
