Brothers Sean and Lex are happy, normal kids going about their days as usual until something scary happens. All of a sudden, their friends' moms and their own mom start turning into mombies! What's a mombie you ask? Well, according to Sean and Lex, a mombie is a regular mom who starts serving nothing but broccoli and sprouts for dinner and making you eat it all, or making horrendous demands such as having you complete a week's worth of homework! Sean and Lex Take On The Mombie Apocalypse was a hilarious book to read. Michelle Merz has a talent for capturing the attention of the young reader, and with every page I read, I grew more and more intrigued by the storyline. The concept is highly amusing and will have children laughing their heads off. The illustrations have been uniquely designed and fit perfectly within the theme of the book. For me, the best part of the book was how the story is told, as the author addresses the reader by asking them interactive questions, which will add extra enjoyment to the reading experience. I loved every page of this wonderful book and I hope to read more from the author in the future.
