The story begins in a small Missions Hospital in the mountains of North Carolina with the birth of Lara Greenway. Lara and her mother moved to Florida. Lara has created a twin sister, whom she named Samantha. She can feel her with her, she is in her dreams and she seems so real. While at school she meets Chandler Bell who stands up for her against the bullies. Years later Lara meets Chandler again and they fall in love. Planning their wedding keeps her mind off of Samantha, until she sees an exact likeness of herself at a hotel. It was like looking into a mirror. This sends her into a frenzy looking for Samantha. Nobody believes her and they place her in the psychiatric hospital. She escapes and makes it her mission to find her twin. What she discovers puts her life in danger.
This is a gripping tale. I was quickly caught up in the story and found myself cheering Lara on. The author has a talent for characterization. Even the secondary characters are well developed and add much to the story line. Don’t miss this exciting book by Ms Chapman.
