Seeker by Samuel Griffin is an absolute gem of a book that I couldn't put down. The story follows Shay Bluefaltlow, who finds herself thrown into the role of a Sentinel Archivist in the bustling, mysterious city of Fivedock. The world-building is so rich and detailed that I felt like I was right there with Shay, experiencing all the new sights, sounds, and dangers. Her journey is packed with action and emotional moments as she trains under a tough mentor, interacts with intriguing characters like a grumpy surgeon and an extraordinary little boy, and navigates the complexities of war and betrayal. It’s a gripping tale that kept me hooked from start to finish.

Samuel Griffin’s writing is what makes Seeker truly special. The plot is well-paced, with a perfect balance of action and world-building that makes everything feel incredibly real. Shay is a wonderfully developed character, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way. The themes of duty, identity, and resilience are woven beautifully into the narrative, adding depth without ever feeling heavy-handed. Griffin’s prose is lush and often poetic, which I loved, though there were a few moments where it felt a bit too flowery. But it's an otherwise fantastic book. If you’re a fan of fantasy with a richly imagined world and characters that stay with you long after you’ve finished reading, Seeker is a must-read. It’s one of those books that you just want to dive back into, even after you’ve turned the last page.
