Shattered Dreams by Joanne Hughson is the second book in the Shattered series, following on from Shattered Lies. Emarie Lukins is about to get married. Shattered Dreams by Joanne Hughson is a sequel well worth reading. I’ve read other works by this author, and she has proved over and again that she is a writer worth reading, a writer who can turn her hand to different genres. This story is packed with suspense and mystery, not to mention a touch of the supernatural, and it will keep you hooked all the way through. Just when you think the main protagonist has dealt with enough, she gets slammed with something else, and it will keep you on your toes as you follow every plot twist on this rollercoaster ride. It’s a thrilling read with a diverse set of characters, each with their own story to tell. Every thread of this plot neatly entwines to create a chilling tale that will leave you with shivers down your spine as you follow Emarie on her journey to discover if the perfect life really exists.
