She Who Floats Above the Breeze by Jennifer Conklin is the third book in The Adventure Above series. It is a well-written book that takes young readers on an exciting adventure as two best friends embark on a journey of discovery. Anya and Breck embark on a quest to discover a new place. During their journey, they encounter a variety of animals, including a herd of stegosaurs, frogs, salamanders, lizards, and more. They also explore trees, flowering plants, a sandy dune, and pine trees. Soon after, they arrive at their destination, a place that makes them more curious as they discover a spacious, warm cave lined with gold. This book also contains some fun facts that young readers will appreciate.
There was so much about this book that stood out to me. I loved that every aspect of this book was designed to meet the cognitive needs of children and help to improve their imaginations. The story has well-developed characters and uses simple sentences, which makes it enjoyable to read. From this book, children will learn to appreciate the value of friendship and be more open to exploring new possibilities. The colorful pages and brilliant illustrations by Aaron Trudell were visually appealing and engaging for kids. I loved the fun fact section, and I learned about stegosaurs for the first time from this book. The writing is concise, well-paced, and easy to comprehend. It features themes on friendship, adventure, nature, and more. I recommend She Who Floats Above the Breeze by Jennifer Conklin to all young readers.
