Show Me Love: A Collection of Poetry, and Expression of Love by Christie Black-Murrell is a collection of love poems that covers diverse love topics: godly love, brotherly love, and romantic love. All the poems are written keeping these themes in mind. The author's thoughtfulness of combining different forms of love gives this book a unique texture. It is an interesting concept and is written with a lot of color and romance. The combination of romance and emotions associated with it makes the theme interesting to readers. The poems are vivid and cover the many aspects of love. Readers will enjoy fine depictions of love in its various forms.
Each poem is symbolic and mysterious in its narration and the potential double meaning helps readers form a subjective interpretation. The ambiguity in the tone helps in evoking a lot of emotions. The tone and phrasing of the poems give it a dramatic effect and ties them together beautifully. The descriptive language and detailed imagery enhance the visual appeal for readers. While 'HELPLESS DREAMER.....' enchants you with its dreamy quality; 'BLOOD RUNNING.....' is more stark in its depiction.
