Sirius: Hidden Truth by A.L. Long is the story of April as she enters a world of desire and wants unlike any other she has experienced before. April never knew her life would change the moment she agreed to help her friend out. Vanessa is her only friend and when she asks April to cover for her at her catering job, April accepts. April knew that something was different about the place, but soon she realizes that she might have bitten off more than she can chew (at least for now). She thinks she can forget what happened and move on. But then there is a new economics teacher, Mr. Prescott, who has something about him that calls to her. She has no idea what, but she is afraid to find out. Can she forget what happened that night and move with her life?
Steamy scenes galore with plenty of action and story to back it up, this novel is a mystery that I craved to uncover. Erotica can get tasteless very quickly if the author isn’t careful, but A.L. Long has done a great job at not only keeping it classy but sensual as well. April is a very unique yet universal character; she is determined yet she is vulnerable. She is not aware of her desires, but when she does find out what they are, she is not afraid to get what she wants. Dominic Prescott was an enigma, to be honest, and I loved discovering him his secrets. He grabbed my attention from the moment he was introduced and, after that, I didn’t want to put the book down. He and April had off-the-charts chemistry, they had a connection that they explored and enjoyed, which made me enjoy it along with them. This is definitely a novel for a mature audience who love a good romance to go along with steamy, hot love.
