Soviet Britain: Blood Parade (Volume 1) by Neil Jopson is an alternative look at World War 1. What if the Great War happened differently? What if just one thing went another way? How would it change the world we live in today? You are about to find out. Karl and his friends are about to find out. At the end of the war, communist governments rule Europe and Britain, put there by the Revolution. Decades later, the cold war is still going on between the capitalist states and the communist nations. There are those who are not happy with the way things are being run, though, and they want a change. The trouble is, to get that change, a change that will not serve all of humankind, people will have to get hurt ... badly hurt.

Soviet Britain: Blood Parade by Neil Jopson is Volume 1 of a trilogy about how life could be so different if the war had ended in a different way. The story started deep in action and it continued that way all through. The alternative story that Mr Jopson talks of could so easily have happened, and he sets his scene very well in a clever and convincing way. The story is set in London and it really is quite scary to think of how different a place I know so well could be. Mr Jopson writes in a succinct, very detailed manner, and he clearly has a great mind to have been able to come up with this. It is fast paced, full of action, and full of theories about what could have been. I believe this to be the scene setter for the rest of the series and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.
