Squeak Smiles! is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Terri Rosa Fox. It tells the story of Little Squeak, who has always been happy and never had a reason to be mad. His parents love him, and he gets to sing and play his favorite games. However, one day, he wakes up feeling angry, and all the joy is sucked out of his life. Little things like sticky syrup and the color of orange juice easily get on his nerves. Little Squeak is angry, and he doesn't know why. Fortunately, his loving parents notice his mood change and talk to him. They remind him that it's okay to get angry sometimes and to always pray about it. They also encourage him to find things and people that make him happy. Join Little Squeak as he learns to smile again.
Squeak Smiles! is a heartwarming story that teaches children about expressing their emotions and finding comfort in Jesus. Children often find it difficult to express themselves, which can lead to them bottling up their emotions. This can eventually cause stress and affect their mental development. Teaching them to have a positive mindset and to confide in God, their friends, and loved ones can help lessen their burden. Terri Rosa Fox does an excellent job of conveying this message in a way that children will understand and appreciate. The book contains colorful illustrations that perfectly depict the characters and complement the story. Children will fall in love with these adorable characters and enjoy getting to know them. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to learn how to control their anger by finding peace in God and things that bring them joy.
