St. Thérèse and the Wedding Dress by Terrimarie's Mother is a fascinating tale which describes the true story of a young couple wishing to get married soon and how they overcome the issues of wedding preparations with the help of a Christian saint. The feeling that you get when you read this story is a sense of awe at the power of prayer, that loyalty and faith are real.
St. Thérèse was shown in this story to be extremely kind, helpful and loyal, through events that occur. It must be a wonderful feeling to have divine assistance with a major event in one's life. Also, one reflects on how beautifully resolved problems can be when people pray and trust in a higher power. Also, what was great in this book is that the characters were not very religious, but still the small amount of prayer and time they devoted seemed to have a big effect on their lives.
I think it is an inspiring story which I hope will encourage people to try prayer in times of difficulty or uncertainty. The book would have been better if it were longer, with more thorough descriptions and background, but at the same time, it is a short account of real events which, due to its length and interesting story, may appeal to busy people or even those who are not usually readers of the spiritual genre. I wish more people would write stories like this one since, even if short, it is definitely great to share wonderful things that happen as a result of divine help.
